Role overview
As a Respiratory Therapist at Sleep Management, LLC d/b/a VieMed, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized care to patients in their homes. You will be responsible for the overall clinical, technical, and administrative functions of our Home Respiratory Therapist program, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care and support.
Responsible for the installation/delivery of respiratory therapist equipment and provision of all needed supplies and products to the patients in the home, along with ongoing assessment of patients and equipment.
Engage in clinical contact with physicians, healthcare practitioners, and others involved in the care of patients referred to Sleep Management, LLC d/b/a VieMed.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, including charting, progress notes, clinical files, and equipment records.
Oversee the inventory management of all Sleep Management/VieMed assets and supplies.
Ensure vehicle maintenance and service are performed as per accreditation standards.
Keep all pertinent demographic information updated and oversee compliance with applicable regulatory rules and guidelines.
Orient and train subordinate or newly hired respiratory therapist staff and service technicians.
Collaborate effectively with office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services.
Promote and market home respiratory therapist services to all referral sources.
Ensure safe operation of all equipment before installation.
Provide availability for patient contact and respond to patient needs, including participation in a rotating on-call schedule.
Other duties/projects as assigned.
1 - 5 years of medical or respiratory experience.
A valid Respiratory Therapist license in the State in which you practice is required.
Strong clinical experience and technical skills in respiratory therapy.
Effective communication skills and inventory management capabilities.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and billing/documentation processes.
Customer service skills.
Capabilities in training and orientation of new staff.
This job will require the employee to go into patient homes for the set-up and service of medical devices, ensuring a supportive and safe environment for patient care.
